Private, gated Downtown Fort Lauderdale living with the city and waterways at your doorstep.
On the water, a stone’s throw from Victoria Park and in the heart of the action.
Amid Fort Lauderdale’s island options, blink and you may miss Sunrise Key. Accessible via the quietly tucked Sunrise Key Boulevard off Victoria Park’s western edge, some of the city’s most prized single-family residents await. Beyond its gate, there are approximately 75 customized homes, each with water vistas and dockage and many with back yard pool oases. Here you can take in the architectural spectrum all within a clearly intimate community.
The key’s southern edge is along the Rio Barcelona Canal, which provides a straight shot to the Intracoastal Waterway. Boating adventures through the New River, Stranahan River and Atlantic Ocean – with access via Port Everglades – are all within minutes. To the immediate north and south of the key are canals upon canals for kayaking and paddleboarding adventures, too. Welcome to the heart of “the Venice of America.”
Calling all water lovers. If you’re looking for a place to dock and soak it all in, Sunrise Key is bliss. The neighborhood is anchored by Sunrise Key Boulevard and has five aptly named drives - like 1st Key Drive and 2nd Key Drive – that run north to south, each with a handful of residences on cul-de-sacs. Just outside the neighborhood and within three blocks, you can access North Victoria Park Road – a stroll down this portion of the road is always scenic with tower bougainvillea trees and the most stately of Fort Lauderdale homes. Annie Beck Park is right there as well with canal side walking paths and plenty of spots for a serene picnic. Within 10 blocks north of the neighborhood is Sunrise Boulevard. Within a one-mile stretch on Sunrise Boulevard are multiple grocery stores, Galleria Mall, George English Park and access to the Atlantic Ocean.
Las Olas Boulevard, Sunrise Boulevard and more are all within minutes of Sunrise Key, equating to dozens upon dozens of shopping, entertainment and dining options.
Within 5 minutes of the home, Gran Forno Bakery awaits on Las Olas Boulevard. In addition to handcrafted coffee drinks, the locally-owned bakery serves up fresh loaves of bread, quiches, muffins and cakes daily. The bakery has another outpost – Gran Forno Pronto – less than five minutes west along the boulevard, too.
On Sunrise Boulevard between Northeast 19th and Northeast 20th Avenues, is a shopping center with numerous restaurant options. Among them are Big Louie’s Pizzeria, Heart Rock Sushi and Thai and Brgr Stop.
For your shopping fix, Galleria Mall is within a mile of the neighborhood on Sunrise Boulevard. Among its staples are Dillard’s, Macy’s and the Apple Store. The mall has a number of higher-end dining options as well including The Capital Grille, Seasons 52 and Blue Martini.
For recreation lovers, George English Park is within 10 blocks of Sunrise Key. The waterside park includes tennis courts, pickleball courts, a baseball field and Blue Moon Outdoor Adventures, which offers canoe and kayak rentals.
With this location you can engrain yourself in the true Fort Lauderdale lifestyle, with so much nearby. Holiday Park – which is the city’s largest park – hosts Starlight Musicals during the summer months, featuring outdoor concerts as well as food/beverage vendors. Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is also at the eastern end of Sunrise Boulevard and hosts Mangrove Habitat Walks on the first Friday and Saturday of each month. The park hosts regular history and nature-focused walks throughout the month, too, and it’s an awesome way to get up close and personal with your town.
