Sunrise Intracoastal A quaint peninsula-oriented neighborhood, beaming with spectacular single-family homes and water access

Welcome to Sunrise Intracoastal

Gated elegance with shopping, the beach and recreation nearly at your doorstep

Fort Lauderdale is loaded with quietly tucked neighborhoods exuding magnificent estates, water vistas and incredible convenience. If all of the aforementioned are tugging at your heartstrings, you’ll feel right at home at Sunrise Intracoastal. In total, there are approximately 175 custom-built homes within this guard-gated community. For added security, there is a 24-hour dedicated security team that patrols the neighborhoods. Geographically, the community is bordered to the east by the Intracoastal and to the west by the Middle River, making for no-fixed-bridge access to the ocean and stunning waterways a total breeze.

As for its features, the most mature of trees and finest landscaping line its streets. For recreation, there is a playground as well as an intimate park within Sunrise Intracoastal’s limits, let alone all that awaits within 10 minutes just outside of it. The neighborhood’s roots may be traced back to 1952, when its first twenty lots sold for a cumulative $169,750. Today it is home to some of the area’s most stunning, multi-million-dollar estates.

With this incredible location, so many of Fort Lauderdale’s top attractions are within walking distance or the shortest of drives. Just north of the community’s gates and in addition to the mall is a Publix, Starbucks, shopping center and George English Park, with tennis, pickleball and recreation fields. Just over the Sunrise Boulevard bridge at the Intracoastal and within 5 minutes, you can access Hugh Taylor Birch State Park as well as one of the most blissful, white sand stretches of Fort Lauderdale Beach. The heart of Downtown Fort Lauderdale is within a 10-minute drive.

Dining, Entertainment, Shopping

A number of Fort Lauderdale favorites spanning the dining, entertainment and shopping spectrum are right there at Sunrise Intracoastal.

Within the Galleria Mall, you’ll find options aplenty. For a date night or elegant dinner, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant has its very own and curated wine program. The Capital Grille is a national favorite, with fresh seafood catches and memorable dry-aged steaks. For a nightcap, hit Blue Martini, which has live music on its unique bar-gone-stage regularly.

Down Sunrise Boulevard and at the beach (Sunrise Lane and 9th Avenue) are a handful of no-frills dining options. Parrot Lounge is a Philadelphia-inspired dive bar with one of the best cheesesteaks around, whereas Primanti Brothers Pizza and Grill offers up massive sandwiches with coleslaw and fries... piled on as part of the sandwiches!

East on Sunrise Boulevard and south on Northeast 20th Avenue, Serafina Italian Restaurant has a sublime riverfront terrace and Italian masterpieces like a Mahi Mahi Adriatico and homemade Rigatoni Alla Vodka.

Next door to Publix on Sunrise Boulevard and for the liquor lovers out there, Primo Liquors & Fine Wine has one of the best selections around. Beyond extensive connections to make any hard-to-find order happen, the local business also offers yacht provisioning.

Things to Do

Sunrise Intracoastal is a prime location for taking in some of Fort Lauderdale’s most spectacular events.
